Data Networking Principles

The Data Networking Principles Course is aligned to US ID 246684: Demonstrate an understanding of Data Protocols principles and applications. It will contribute to the full development of any learner within the Telecommunications environment, more specifically within the Data backbone environment, by providing recognition, further mobility, and transportability within the field.

Course Outcomes

Upon completion of the Data Networking Principles course, the qualifying learner is capable of: 

• Describing synchronous and asynchronous data communication.
• Describing computer network types and standards.
• Demonstrating the main features of LANs and WANs.
• Do basic IP addresses and basic router configuration.

Delivery Mode

The course is offered over two days using a Facilitator-led virtual classroom or physical classroom. To do the practical exercises in virtual mode, you will need a laptop and access to a router.
